Now, if this doesn't violate some sort of copyright infringement or piss someone off with how politically incorrect it is, then I am going to be very angry.
For digital imaging we had to make a digital image around the theme of fascism. I'm not a very politically involved person, so I chose the only politics I was familiar with- that of the GALACTIC EMPIRE. Actually, I'm kidding... I'm not a hardcore Star Wars fan, but I think he's one of the most recognizable characters of evil in fiction next to say, Hannibal, and he is a bit of a fascist, so I decided to do a series of images which combined propaganda/hype images with Darth Vader as the figurehead.
This one is based off of a Communist propoganda poster from the 60's which was originally celebrating Mao. The original said "Behold the red sun that will lead us to glory," and I wanted to rewrite it to say "behold the black sun that will lead us to glory" because I thought that was a good reference to vader/death star, etc. However, I don't know chinese even though i am half, so i rewrote it in engrish. Hehe. Anyone get my potshot at ST?
haha, I caught this on the front page. Very clean look to this, and I love the black, red and white.
Hey, offensive/controversial pieces are the best! Myself, this doesn't really offend and or... controverse...(not even a word... or a possiblility) me. It's hard to do that. Well, not really, you just have to know which button to push.
EEEENYWAYY.... great job!

"Anyone get my potshot at ST" What is this ST you speak of? I am confused. Very funny very cool and graphically appealing. I' m taking digital imaging next semester. I think its with the same teacher you had? Which teacher did you have? Maybe I have steve's teacher? Anyway, what classes are you taking next semester? Will you use them for good or for awesome?
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I love the old propaganda posters (they are so much more viscerally appealing than anything governments produce today) and i love this idea... ^_^
