DnD: Prisoner by Gorrem DnD: Prisoner by Gorrem
Another piece for Draconomicon. This is about how dragons capture minstrels to play music for them, I think. There were a lot of things I had to fit into this image, even though it was only a quarter-page illustration. It was a challenge to fit them all into a bleed image while still making it work as a composition. I added the dark background because the original just bleeds to white.

Haha, the Draconomicon has nothing to do with the Necronomicon. It's just a reference guide to everything dragon-related in the Dungeons & Dragons universe.

Thanks, I wanted there to be some humor in this! Some people thought it was inappropriate, I thought it was totally appropriate.

great job! Besides the good composition, it also creates an atmosphere, a feeling, as we can see both the bard's present and the future (or at least, we can see what happened to those captured before him)

It looks like somebody needs to learn proper care and feeding for bards if they want to have any more pets.

really nice work, I like it! :) It reminds me a bit of Terry Prattchett books, I'm sure you would be an awesome illustrator for those book covers! :)
