This is a vivid and vibrant portrayal of that scene in Children of Dune. I'm going to go so far as to say that this portrayal is more vivid, more evocative and more powerful than the scene in the book itself.
I just.. I've loved this piece for what feels like forever, and I just super want you to know that is genuinely excellent. So much majesty and power is conveyed; it really -really- gets across how big a deal the moment is, Leto starting the path to becoming the god emperor and all. Like, ugh, you can just see that in motion, the utter chaos of the worms ripping apart everything around him all maelstrom like and Leto just calmly walking forward into it.
I've been following you since the old days on Elfwood, but I've never commented on one of your pieces before today. I would like to say two things: 1. You are one of my favorite artists on the internet and in general. 2. This is one of the best pieces you have ever created. It was my laptop background for over a year, and it really encapsulates the epic and galaxy-shattering significance of Leto's decision to embrace his future. The colors are perfect. The shai-hulud are fantastic, and the motion dynamic is amazing.
