This is my rendition of a tengu, a type of Japanese forest spirit, done in the style of a woodblock print. The writing is actually my name in scribbly Chinese, it's really only there for aesthetic value. Drawn, colored and rendered in photoshop, including the patterns.
I'd be terrified if that thing jumped out at me while i was in the forest (not sure why i would be in the forest in the first place...) wonderful details, you captured the style wonderfully!
nice use of patterns and I really dig the linework. I never knew what the deal was with those guys, but i see them every now and then in games or comics, heheh. Very cool rendition

Oh, that's absolutely fantastic! The lines are a little modern looking, otherwise I'd say it could fit in among any other ukiyoe print! *grins* Yea for Tengu! They're fun.~~
Flippin' awesome. man! Does me good to see the kinda stuff that my beloved Photoshop can do! LOL

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

There'd be a price to pay?
